Coxheath: Man charged over knife raid on Wine with Spirit in Heath Road

A man has been charged with threatening off-licence staff with a knife in Coxheath, forcing them to hand over cash.
The raid happened just after 8pm yesterday at Wine with Spirit in Heath Road.
Officers attended the scene and reviewed CCTV. At 9.13pm, just over an hour later, Stephen Lee was arrested at his home a quarter of a mile away in Gresham Road on suspicion of robbery.
He has also been charged with possession of a bladed article and two counts of shoplifting, which relate to separate incidents.
Lee, aged 32, has been remanded in custody to appear by virtual court before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday July 4.
