Thurnham man charged with possessing knife in public after ‘stabbing’ in Mill Street, Maidstone

A 23-year-old man has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place after a mid-afternoon “street fight”.
Sonny Manville, of Bedell Road, Thurnham, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday (August 16).
He had been charged with affray, possession of an offensive weapon and possessing a knife in a public place following an alleged fight in Maidstone town centre.
It happened just after 3pm on Wednesday, August 14 when police were called to a report of a disturbance in Mill Street.
It is alleged the victim was assaulted and received an injury consistent with a stab wound.
Manville is due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on September 20.
