Stalking charges handed to Maidstone man

A 57-year-old man from Maidstone has been charged with stalking a woman from Dartford.
Kevin Downing from Tonbridge Road, Maidstone was arrested on Tuesday and charged on Wednesday.
Police say they received reports from a woman alleging that between October 9 and 26, Downing had behaved in a way which caused her serious alarm and distress.
Following the charge Downing was recalled to prison and will appear in front of magistrates on a date to be confirmed.
