Man dies after two car head on crash in Linton Hill, Staplehurst, Maidstone

A young man has died after a head-on crash, which also left another man injured.
The victim, who was 22, was killed in the collision in Linton Hill, Staplehurst, near Maidstone, shortly before 9.30pm last night.

All three emergency services and the Kent Air Ambulance were called to the scene.
Police closed the road between Redwall Lane and Stilebridge Lane while they dealt with the incident.
The road was shut for some time and this morning, police confirmed one man had died as a result of the crash.
The spokesman said: "The incident happened close to the junction with Stilebridge Lane and involved a red Citroen C4 and silver Ford Fiesta.
"The vehicles were reported to have been travelling in opposite directions.
"Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the collision and the driver of the Fiesta, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene.
"His next of kin have been made aware. The driver of the Citroen was taken to hospital with minor injuries."
Officers from Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit are now appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
