A man has escaped with minor injuries after falling between a train and the rail platform.
The injured man was initially trapped underneath the train at platform two in Paddock Wood Station. The fire service were called, but he was freed by rail staff and ambulance crews before they arrived.
The man, aged 30, from Sittingbourne was taken to the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells with back and leg injuries.
The incident happened on Thursday as the 8.35pm Strood to Tonbridge train pulled into the station.
Rail services were seriously disrupted in both directions for around 90 minutes.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "It appears that the man was walking towards the train as it entered the station before falling into the gap between the train and platform.
"The incident is being treated as non-suspicious and accidental."
