Man in court on bank robbery charges

A 42-year-old warehouse worker has appeared before a court charged with two counts of armed robbery.
David Vaughan, of Sheals Crescent, Maidstone, was remanded in custody by Mid Kent magistrates at Chatham. His arrest followed robberies at two branches of the NatWest bank at Marden and Coxheath.
A date for the next hearing has not yet been fixed.
