A man has been charged with fraud offences following claims of unauthorised cash withdrawals being taken from a victim’s bank account.
Police received a report that a victim’s bank account had been the subject of several transactions without their knowledge between May 15 and August 3.
The victim’s relatives alleged unauthorised purchases and cash withdrawals had been made from the account and, on Monday (August 7), a suspect was arrested.
William Dillon, of Knightrider Street, Maidstone was later charged with theft and fraud by investigators from West Kent CID.
The 43-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (August 9).
He was later bailed and told to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on September 6.
