A MAN accused of serious sex charges appeared before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court.

Martyn Frost, 34, spoke only to confirm his name during the brief TV link hearing with Elmley Prison, Sheppey.

Nina Ellin, prosecuting, said Frost, of Glebelands, Ashford, faced seven charges of rape, nine of indecent assault, threats to kill and “numerous” of possessing indecent images of children.

Miss Ellin told Judge Michael Neligan that there was no indication of pleas.

Frost, wearing a checked shirt and seated at a desk, was remanded in custody until May 5, when pleas will be entered.
