Man in court after attack outside Esso petrol station and Tesco store in Tonbridge Road, Maidstone

A 33-year-old has been charged with grievous bodily harm after an attack which saw a man punched, kicked and stamped on.

It happened outside the Esso and Tesco Express in Tonbridge Road, Maidstone , between 11.45pm Saturday and 12.15am Sunday.

Officers and ambulance crews attended and the victim was rushed to hospital with several head and facial injuries .

Lee Crouch of The Broadway, Maidstone, was arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He was also charged with driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

The 33-year-old has appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court accused of the offences where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court, next month.

Detectives said the fight may have spilled out into the road, close the junction of Stanford Drive.
