A man in his 20s has been rescued from a flat fire in Larkfield by a member of the public this evening.
The man, who has not been identified, was led to safety from the ground floor property before fire crews arrived at the scene in Kingfisher Road at 7.30pm.
The man suffered minor smoke inhalation but did not require hospital treatment.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an iPod docking system that overheated.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews to the blaze, which was extinguished within half-an-hour. An ambulance was also sent to the scene.
