A man was taken to hospital this morning after a fire broke out in a Maidstone home.
The blaze started in a first-floor bedroom of a home in Quarry Road just after 7am.
Two fire crews were called to the scene and spent nearly an hour fighting the flames with a hose reel.
The man, thought to be in his mid 20s, was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
It is not known if there were any other residents in the house at the time.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
