Suspect 'tries to bite' police officers in Knightrider Street, Maidstone

A 40-year-old man has been charged after allegedly trying to bite police officers.
Police were called out to a disturbance in Knightrider Street early on Sunday morning when the incident is alleged to have happened.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers were arresting a man on suspicion of breaching the peace, they were subjected to threats and attempts to assault them.
Jack Smith, 40, Knightrider Street, Maidstone was arrested and later charged with two counts of assauting an emergency worker.
He was bailed to appear before Maidstone Magistrates Court on June 21.
