The pupils at Maidstone Girls Grammar School have been spending their lunchtimes supporting a gigantic community effort to raise funds for Dandelion Time.
More than 21 schools, businesses and clubs across the county have combined forces to take part in the marathon Marden To Madagascar Rowathon.
The West Farleigh-based charity provides practical therapy for children from troubled families. It set supporters the task of rowing 5,600 miles - on indoor rowing machines - in a bid to raise £25,000.
Staff and students at MGGS have chipped in with 175 miles (and around £150) towards the total so far.
Among those taking part have been Benenden Hospital; KIMS Hospital; the Great Danes Hotel; Outset (UK) Ltd, Maidstone; South East Coast Ambulance Service; Invicta Rowing Club; Bennett Memorial School, Tunbridge Wells; Benenden School; Bethany School, Goudhurst; Judd School, Tonbridge; Oakwood Park Grammar School, Maidstone; and Sevenoaks Prep School.
Nearly two weeks into the task and between them the rowers are nearing their objective; they are currently somewhere around Tanzania.
A final push will be made at the 7R gym in Marden over the weekend with Helen Grant MP and Kent Firefighters due to lend a hand.
