Two military helicopters were spotted hovering above Maidstone last night.
The Chinooks were heard over the town centre and in the surrounding areas, including Cranbrook and Park Wood, between 11pm and midnight.
It's understood the crews made a brief stop at the Invicta Park Barracks, off Royal Engineers' Road, before flying out of the town.
The Royal Air Force confirmed the helicopters were taking part in routine training.
Dozens of people took to social media to complain about the noise caused by the aircraft late at night.
