Gallants Lane and New Cut Road blocked by tree in high winds

Strong winds are sweeping the county this morning and motorists are being advised to watch for fallen trees.

A tree has come down in Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, blocking the road. KCC crews are on the way to clear it.

Police have also closed New VCut Road in Grive Green where another tree is down.

Another has come down on the M25 near Sevenoaks, causing congestion.

Meanwhile, Southeastern trains have been limited to 50mph across the whole network due to the high winds and Maidstsone Invicta Rowing Club has had to cancel its scheduled races on the River Medway.
