Work to remove a footbridge crossing the M20 is set to close part of the motorway this weekend.
Both carriageways are being closed on the M20 between junction four for Leybourne and junction six for the A229, Blue Bell Hill.
Teapot Lane footbridge is being removed and replaced with a taller bridge as part of Highways England's Smart Motorway Scheme.
Once the bridge is removed, a new lane of traffic will be added in both directions.
The motorway will be closed from 10pm on Friday and is expected to remain shut until around 5am on Monday morning.
Local motorists are being encouraged to use the A228, M2 and A229 during the closures while those travelling further distances can use the A2 and M2.
A new bridge will not be installed until November.
The same stretch of motorway will be closed from November 9 to November 12 for the new bridge to be built.
