A motorway slip-road has been shut for major barrier repairs, and could stay closed for weeks.
The work affects the dedicated lane for traffic joining the London-bound M20 at Junction 7 (Detling) from the A249 Bearsted Road in Maidstone.
Traffic will still be able to get onto the M20 at the junction, by going around the roundabout, but the closure is expected to cause major delays.
National Highways were unable to confirm the proposed reopening date of the slip-road but say it will stay closed until at least Sunday.
A road closure notice lodged with Kent County Council Highways expires on March 21.
