The family of a student allegedly murdered on a night out have hit back at a rapper's apology.
Andre Bent, 21, was fatally stabbed in the chest in Jubilee Square, Maidstone hours after MoStack performed at Gallery nightclub in August.
A 16-year-old has been charged with murder.
Since then the north London musician, whose real name is Montell Daley, has been silent on Twitter, but returned to social media last week.
On Thursday he tweeted a selfie with the caption "Just been at home and gym tryna(sic) better my self," and on Sunday he sent out a message to followers.
It read: "My prayers and condolences to the family of the young man who lost his life and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
"I've been praying for you all. My mums been praying for you all.
"My thoughts are with the family through this difficult time.
"I apologise if my silence has offended anyone. I took a break from social media for various reasons."
Andre Bent's cousin Louis Gladstone has hit back at the tweet, which came after the London South Bank University student's funeral on Friday.
He wrote: "This “apology” did absolutely nothing for us as a family. You will be held accountable for your actions (or lack thereof) and next time you feel like speaking up on the situation make sure you say my cousin’s name - Andre Bent."
More than a dozen people have been arrested in relation to violence in Jubilee Square on August 25.
Last week two people were charged with violent disorder in connection with the disturbance.
