00:00, 23 October 2003
KEGS of beer and cider have been stolen from a public house in Maidstone town centre.
The offenders forced the padlock on a storage shed at the rear of the Thirsty Pig in Knightrider Street before stealing the kegs. One keg of Miller, one keg of Strongbow, two of Carlsberg and two of Fosters were taken.
The incident took place between 2.30am and 8am on Tuesday. Police are studying CCTV footage for clues.
Gianna Pollero, spokeswoman for Maidstone and Malling Police, said: “Nobody was seen. It is all a bit of a mystery and we are appealing for information from the public.”
Anyone who may be able to help is asked to telephone police on 01622 608189.
