A charity shop has opened a clothing outlet with everything priced at £1.
The new addition to the Heart of Kent Hospice store in Heath Road, Coxheath will help raise funds for the end-of-life charity.
The new pre-loved section features both womenswear and menswear being sold at a bargain price.
Previously the store had stocked mainly homeware and furniture.
Head of retail at the hospice, Mark Mickelburgh, said: “Recognising that our customers are seeking to make their money go further, we have decided to highlight fantastic value clothing by showcasing them in our Coxheath store as part of a ‘shop within a shop’.
“This separate room contains preloved clothing, shoes and accessories all priced at £1 with new stock arriving regularly.
“It will become the sort of shop that you will want to come back to again and again as you never know what you will find.”
The store is based in units three and four of Hamilton House.
It is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
It is one of 14 across the county, allowing the charity to receive a regular income to help “plan for the future deliver care services free for everyone”.
Last month Heart of Kent Hospice launched it’s Shaun the Sheep interactive art trail across Maidstone.
The 51 statues will be auctioned off in September, but two were vandalised beyond repair last week resulting in a loss of a potential £10,000.
The not-for-profit will be hosting two fundraiser events in the coming months.
On September 9 there will be a tour of Blooming Green in Loddington Farm, Linton – tickets can be found here.
There will also be a five-mile night sky charity walk on October 5 in Cobtree Manor Park.

The charity depends on voluntary donations for 80% of the cost of delivering its services.
