Woman arrested after shop worker has 'noxious substance spilt on them' at Tesco Express in Tonbridge Road, Maidstone

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon after a shop worker was hit with a noxious substance.
The incident happened at a branch of Tesco Express in Maidstone after a woman acting suspiciously was challenged by a member of staff.
It is alleged the suspect then became abusive and spilt a noxious substance on the employee at the Tonbridge Road store.
The victim did not suffer any injury in the altercation, which happened at around 4.40pm on November 20.
A 42-year-old woman from Maidstone was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and committing a public order offence.
She was later bailed to return to police on December 14.
