If you dream of having your name in lights, your first big break could come this weekend, with the open dance auditions for this year’s pantomime.

Dick Whittington is the theme for Maidstone's Hazlitt Theatre's Christmas production, with Blue Genie Productions, and children from eight to 15 will get the chance to try out to take part this Sunday.

The open auditions for eight to 10-year-olds will start at 10.30am; 11 to 13-year-olds at 12.30pm; and 14 and 15-year-olds get their chance at 2.30pm.

Hopefuls are asked to bring appropriate clothing and footwear to be put through their paces in.

Successful candidates need to be available to rehearse on Sundays November 10, 17 and 24, and December 1.

The show runs from Friday, December 6, to Sunday, January 5.
