Southeastern services return to normal after delays between Paddock Wood and Strood, as British Transport Police (BTP) and Network Rail investigated trespasser on railway line near Maidstone West station

Train passengers who faced delays after a trespasser was spotted on the railway have seen services return to normal.
Southeastern said a person was found on the line in the Maidstone West area shortly after 3pm yesterday (May 13).
It left trains between Strood and Paddock Wood unable to run while members of the British Transport Police (BTP) and Network Rail attended.
Commuters faced delays while the operator returned trains back to normal, however trains are running on time again.
Some services were held by around 30 minutes between Maidstone and Strood.
A spokesperson for BTP said: “We were called to Maidstone West station at around 3.15pm yesterday (May 12) following reports of a concern for the welfare of a person.”
The person has since been taken to hospital following the attendance of officers.
