00:00, 06 February 2004
DETECTIVES will study CCTV footage after a man was injured by a passing vehicle today while walking on a pavement.
Police believe that the pedestrian, walking in Lower Stone Street, Maidstone, could have been struck by the wing mirror or the side of a passing bus without the driver noticing.
The victim was taken to Maidstone Hospital following the accident which happened at about 1.15pm. His injuries were described as not life-threatening by Kent Ambulance.
The incident comes just days after a woman was involved in a collision with a bus in nearby Mill Street, on Friday. That incident is no longer being investigated by police.
