Man rescued from car stuck in floodwater in Limes Grove, Hawkhurst

A pensioner has been taken to hospital after his car became stuck in floodwater in Hawkhurst.
Firefighters rescued the man, thought to be in his nineties, from the stricken vehicle in Limes Grove just after 11am.
He was moved to safety and passed to the care of paramedics before being taken to hospital.
Kent Police is advising drivers to stay away from flooded areas and avoid driving through water if possible.
