Pensioner struck by van near Maidstone West train station, off the Broadway one-way system

A pensioner was struck by a van in Maidstone town centre last night.
The pedestrian, who is in his 70s, was crossing the Broadway when he was hit by the vehicle at about 9.45pm.
The man was treated at the scene, near Maidstone West train station, for minor injuries.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution by South East Coast Ambulance.
The road remained open.
