Man taken to hospital after M20 accident between Maidstone and Ashford

A man has been taken to hospital after an accident on M20 between junctions 8 and 9, for Maidstone and Ashford.

Emergency services were called just after 17.25pm yesterday and freed a person trapped in a vehicle.

His injuries are not believed to be serious.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the coastbound carriageway.

The incident involved one vehicle and scene was clear at around 6.30pm.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 5.17pm to the M20 coastbound between junctions 8 and 9 to reports of a single vehicle collision.

"SECAMB and KFRS are also on the scene as one person is reportedly trapped in the vehicle."
