A police helicopter has helped officers catch a suspected thief in Maidstone.

Patrols were searching for a man in the town centre area earlier this afternoon and launched the rotorcraft to assist with the hunt.

A 31-year-old man was arrested in Lesley Place at around 3.30pm and remains in police custody.
