Police are hunting for the driver of a car after a hit and run left a man with multiple injuries shortly before midnight.

Officers were called after the victim, a man in his 30s, was struck by the vehicle in Loose Road, Maidstone.

He was taken to a London hospital with head, chest, back and leg injuries in the early hours of Saturday, December 1.

Sheals Crescent was closed off temporarily by police but has since reopened.

Police are attempting to trace the car that fled after the accident.
