Police hunt handbag snatcher

POLICE have released an e-fit and making a fresh appeal for information after a woman’s handbag was stolen as she walked along Moncktons Avenue in Maidstone.
The incident happened at around 1.30am on Tuesday, September 27, when the 23-year-old victim heard footsteps behind and her and then felt someone tug on her handbag.
The offender managed to pull the handbag from her shoulder and ran away with it towards Springfield Library.
The handbag is described as a khaki coloured shoulder bag. It contained cards, keys and other items.
Police describe the thief as a white man, aged between 25-29, 5ft 10in tall, of stocky build, with light brown hair. He was wearing dark coloured clothing.
The victim was not threatened or injured during the incident.
