An 18-year-old boy suffered a broken jaw after a fight broke out in Maidstone High Street

An 18-year-old was left with a broken jaw after he tried to stop three girls from being attacked in Maidstone town centre.
The man was injured just after 3am yesterday, in High Street, when he intervened the alleged assault by two men.
The victim was punched in the head by a man who then left the scene.
A spokesman from Kent Police said patrols were called to the scene after reports of a number of people involved in "a disturbance".
A 27-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman. He has been released on bail until Tuesday, April 21.
Officers are still searching for one suspect.
The incident comes after another man suffered head injuries in the Market Buildings, off High Street, in the early hours of Saturday.
Witnesses are are asked to call 101 with any information.
