Stolen Range Rover found parked in Tovil, Dagenham man arrested

A suspected car thief caught has been arrested after police seized two stolen cars at the weekend.
Police were called out just after 11pm on Saturday night after a Range Rover was stolen from a car park off Hermitage Lane, Barming.
Police searched the area and later found the 4x4 parked and unattended on Farleigh Hill, Tovil.
Following enquiries into a suspicious vehicle seen in the area, officers tracked down a Hyundai i30 in River Close, East Farleigh.
Police checks established the car was stolen and was using false number plates. A key for the vehicle was found in a nearby flower bed.
A 42-year-old Dagenham man was spotted in a nearby garden and arrested on suspicion of theft.
He was later released pending further investigation.
