Police stinger deployed after BMW stolen in Loose

A suspected car thief is in custody after a BMW was stolen overnight.
Police were called at 12.31am on Thursday, February 8, after a BMW 520 was stolen outside a home in Loose.
Patrolling officers searched for the vehicle, and spotted it travelling up Blue Bell Hill towards the M2.
Stingers were rolled out at the roundabout just before the motorway, which punctured the stolen vehicle's tyres.
The driver, a 25-year-old man of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of theft at 1.10am.
He remains in police custody while the investigation is ongoing.
