There are just hours left to have your say on the local landmarks to be honoured with a spot on the iconic Monopoly board.
Polls close tonight on voting for suggestions of what to include on a special Maidstone edition of the popular trading game.
When it was announced a fortnight ago that the County Town is to get its very own version of the family favourite, the public was invited to send in suggestions of what addresses should replace the traditional London landmarks. to feature.
More than 4,000 suggestions have poured in, the current favourite to get a permanent space on the famous brown Old Kent Road space is All Saints Church, which dates back to the 14th century. Like Old Kent Road, the much-loved church is very old.
At the pricier end of the property market, Leeds Castle, Mote Park and the Archbishop's Palace are said to be in the running for the coveted spots usually occupied by Mayfair and Park Lane.
"We are looking at placing All Saints Church on Old Kent Road, as the game will immortalise and celebrate Maidstone’s present, future and past," said Ella Gibbs, custom games executive at Winning Moves, who are producing the game.
"A very big thank you to everyone who has sent in nominations so far. We have been overwhelmed and expect to be wonderfully spoilt for choice putting this board together.
"We will scrutinise and consider every suggestion after the polls close."
You have until midnight to submit your suggestiong by email to maidstone@winningmoves.co.uk or via the official Maidstone Monopoly Facebook Page
The Maidstone edition of the game is due to hit the shelves in October.
