Chatham woman charged after Poundland, chemist and petrol station in Maidstone targeted

A suspected shoplifter has appeared in court accused of stealing from a Poundland store, chemist and petrol station.
Terri Aldridge, of Jenkins’ Dale, Chatham, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with four counts of theft from shops in Maidstone.
The 26-year-old was also charged with the theft of a parcel from outside a house in Bazalgette Rise, in the same town, on January 25.
On December 29, groceries valued at around £100 were reported stolen from a petrol station on London Road, while the following week police were told about laundry and food products, worth around £30, being taken from from Poundland in Week Street.
The following week, staff at a chemist in King Street also told the force toiletries and other items, with a total value almost £80, were stolen on February 13 and 16.
On Thursday, February 22, Aldridge was arrested in connection with the incidents and remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates Court for sentencing on March 13.
