Pram race draws the crowds
08:30, 02 January 2009
Smurfs, alpine ski teams and even a group of nuns were spotted flying around Sutton Valence for the village’s annual pram race.
Hundreds lined the streets for the traditional event, which sees teams of three race around the four pubs in the village, pushing a pram-like contraption.
The course includes a tough uphill climb and then the thrills of steep slope back to the finish line.
