Kitten rescued from inside MOT brake tester at Elite Garages in Maidstone

A tiny kitten has been rescued after getting trapped underneath metal rollers at a MOT centre.
Staff at Elite Garages in Maidstone heard cries for help and quickly came to the rescue.
Mechanics were giving a car a routine MOT when they heard a peculiar sound echoing through the building.
At first it was thought they were hearing things, but followed the faint meows until they realised it was coming from underneath their rolling road brake tester.
Peering in the gap, they found a kitten had wedged itself in between the metal rollers.
After some careful manoeuvring, the team managed to free the brave little feline who was unscathed.
The heartwarming moment was captured on camera and then posted on social media.
It has since racked up more than 100,000 views and nearly 10,000 likes.
Dozens of people commented creative names that nodded to her automotive adventure.
The top contenders included Diesel, Sparky and Turbo.
Afterwards, the mechanics took the kitten to get checked out and the vet fell in love – offering to give her a forever home.
A spokesperson for the MOT centre said: “Now safe and sound, as well as being fully vaccinated, the feline has found a place in everyone’s hearts.
“Maidstone’s Elite Garages isn’t just known for saving cars, it’s now got a reputation for saving cats too!”
