A charity helping support young people has got a brand new look thanks to Project Kent.
Last week kmfm joined forces with Kent Reliance and a team of volunteers to breathe some life into the Young Lives Foundation's Maidstone base.
Volunteers joined kmfm presenters Garry and Laura, Rob Wills and Glen Scott to turn the College Road offices from a bland, tired look into a vibrant, friendly space ready to be used on a daily basis.
The Young Lives Foundation was chosen from Project Kent because of the work they do across Kent.
The independent charity helps vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people by providing a space to visit and offer support.
Last week's makeover means the charity can invite more oyung people into the building, to use it for things like homework, socialising and chilling out.
It will also be used for mentoring sessions and visitors meetings as well as an office workspace.
Stephen Gray, CEO of Young Lives Foundation, said: "We’ve got colour. Its fresh and it smells good, looks good and I think it's much more welcoming already, so I can’t say thank you enough."
Kent Reliance will be returning to the charity with kmfm in a month's time for a grand opening to see how young people are finding the new-look environment.
Brewers Decorator Centres provided teams with all the different paints, gloss and accessories they needed to bring the job up to highest standard.
The firm also donated £300 toward the charity.
Nimisha Cross from Kent Reliance said: "Kent Reliance has always been at the heart of the community, all our branches are visited by people of all ages, all generations and very much part of their local community, so it makes sense for us to be giving something back on our doorstep."
