There were fears the traffic problems may affect the county show.
About 80,000 people are expected at this year's show, and with several high profile events near the site this weekend, there were concerns that roads could become gridlocked.
Leeds Castle is holding its Proms in the Park on Saturday, which also sees the Cancer Research Race for Life in Maidstone's Mote Park.
Both events are expected to attract several thousand people.

Ms Hegarty said: "Come along, enjoy the sunny weather, but be aware and keep an eye on our facebook and twitter pages, and on Kent Police and Kent Highways.
"Do come prepared - if there is traffic, bring water with you and any medication you need, but hopefully everything should flow as normal."
