Jerk Shack, a Jamaican restaurant and take-away, has closed today.
The end to service was announced on the Maidstone company's Facebook page.
A post read: "We are sorry to say that due to unforeseen circumstances as from today we will no longer be open.
"Thank you to everyone who came to visit us."
The County Town's first Jamaican restaurant opened just six months ago in October.
Owner, Andy Campbell, dreamed of running his own restaurant inspired by his West Indian roots after managing nightclub Dusk 2 Dawn for four years.
Dishes on offer included curry goat, rasta vegan stew, and of course, jerk chicken.
Despite running special events such as Reggae Brunch and free meals for the homeless, the Market Buildings eatery has now sadly shut its doors for the last time.
With the tables already removed and stock currently being carried out by staff, it seems the decision is definite.
Jerk Shack has been contacted for a comment.
