Loose Road in Maidstone blocked after three-car crash near The Wheatsheaf pub

Drivers faced delays this morning after a three-car pile up.
One lane was blocked and two were partially obstructed on the A229 Loose Road in Maidstone.
The accident happened at around 8am between the Wheatsheaf junction and Plains Avenue.
Those heading into the town centre faced a backlog of traffic and long delays were expected.
Both police and ambulance crews were spotted at the scene.
Officers confirmed that no serious injuries had been reported.
A spokeswoman from the ambulance service said: “We were called shortly before 8.15am to reports of a multi-vehicle RTC between Loose Road and Sutton Road in Maidstone.
“Crews arrived on scene and assessed and treated three people before they were discharged from our care.”
All lanes were reopened at around 10.45am and traffic has returned to normal.
