The Sutton Road in Maidstone is closed after a crash involving a car and a lorry

A man in his 70s had to be cut free from his car after an accident with a lorry in Maidstone this afternoon.
The road is currently closed between Willington Street and Wallis Avenue (South) while the scene is cleared.
Firefighters stabilised the man's vehicle before cutting him free from the wreckage.
He was taken into the care of paramedics.
KCC highways is urging motorists to find an alternative route while the closure is in place.
