A country lane is currently blocked to traffic after an articulated lorry tried to take a short-cut.
The driver tried to avoid congestion on the Loose Road in Maidstone but has got stuck in Cripple Street.
The vehicle has been there for six hours.
A witness at the scene said: “He has tried to reverse up Cripple Street after getting stuck at the sharp turn into Teasaucer Hill.
“He initially drove into the private drive of Hayle Place seeking somewhere to turn around where he then got stuck in the grass.”

“Too long to turn around, the artic is having to reverse up the road, but at every small bend, the recovery vehicle has to use a crane to winch the back end of the lorry round.”
The lower end of Cripple Street is blocked while Mick Gould Commercials attempt to recover the vehicle.
There is a weight restriction on the road.
