An elderly pedestrian has been injured after being hit by a lorry in Maidstone town centre.
The A20 King Street was cordoned off near the entrance to the bus station, opposite Church Street, at 2pm following the crash.
An air ambulance landed in Mote Park, and ambulances, fire crews and police officers were called to the scene after the man, a pedestrian was hurt.
Privacy screens were put up while paramedics treated the male casualty in the road. He has since been taken away by an ambulance to hospital in London.
But his condition is not yet known.
Police collision investigation teams arrived just after 4pm today. An officer said the area was being treated as a crime scene.
The cordon was in place from on Church Street, and on King Street between the Maidstone Link building and the exit to the Chequers car park.
Bus services were also being diverted away from the area.
Highways officials confirmed the road reopened at around 6.25pm.
