Boxley Road, in Penenden Heath, Maidstone, blocked by crash at junction with Granville Road

A main road was closed following a crash involving two cars.
Police officers and paramedics were called to the junction of Granville Road and Boxley Road, in Penenden Heath, near Maidstone.
Boxley Road was closed while emergency service crews worked at the scene.
Pictures show the damage to the front of a black car which was crumpled by the impact.
There were reports of heavy traffic in the area following the accident and vehicles were being turned around.
The collision happened during this afternoon's school run.
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called just before 3.10pm on Wednesday to a two-vehicle collision in Boxley Road, Maidstone.
“Officers attended the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service where two people have been taken to hospital as a precaution.
“No serious injuries have been reported. Officers remain at the scene and the road remains closed pending vehicle recovery.”
The route was reopened by about 5pm.
