A father has been left "shaken and angry" after he was attacked in front of his daughters.
Brian Woodhouse was punched beaten to the floor in a road rage attack near Maidstone.
The 54-year-old said: "Having to deal with this act of violence and cowardice has left me really shaken."
Mr Woodhouse was travelling with his two daughters, aged 18 and 29, toward Sutton Valence on Saturday afternoon.
He was towing a horse trailer with their two horses inside when the trailer suffered a flat tyre off Ashford Road in Hollingbourne.
The victim said he began directing traffic around the trailer until he could get the horses out.
Mr Woodhouse said: "One bloke pulled up in a silver VW Golf and started yelling at us.
"I can't even repeat the names he was calling me.
"I explained what had happened, he pulled round the corner and came back.
"He punched me to the side of the head and the floor and I fell to the floor."
The attack left the Sittingbourne dad with cuts to his face and his leg.
Mr Woodhouse added: "My 18-year-old daughter, Alisha Rae, bravely helped fight him off.
"She's the real heroine.
"My eldest daughter called the police and when we told him they were on the way, he ran off."
Mr Woodhouse had to take a day off work to recover from the attack.
He said: "It's left us all very shaken, frustrated and angry.
"The coward ran away as soon as he knew the police were coming, now it's in their hands."
A Kent Police spokesman said: "At around 1.30pm on June 8 a man stopped his car in Ashford Road to change a wheel to a horse trailer.
"As the victim was standing in the road it is reported he signalled to another vehicle to slow down.
"The driver of the other vehicle is said to have shouted and sworn at the victim, leading to an argument. It is reported the victim was then assaulted.
"An investigation is ongoing. Any witnesses yet to contact police and who may have information are asked to call 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/109873/19.
"Alternatively contact Kent Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555111."
