Robbers ambush couple in alley

KENT Police are hunting robbers who threatened a young couple with what may have been a handgun before making off with cash.
The victims, both in their late teens, were walking home through an alleyway from the amphitheatre by the river in Maidstone town centre.
They were approached by two men who demanded money from them. One was carrying what is believed to be a small handgun. The offenders made off towards College Avenue after the incident.
The offenders are described as white men, aged betweeen 20 and 30, and both were around 5ft 8ins tall.
One was wearing a black hooded top, a black zip up jacket, dark jeans and something over the lower part of his face. The other was stocky and wearing similar clothing with gloves and a balaclava.
