A fire close to a train track has caused rush hour chaos as power supplies to trains running through the area have been affected.
Services that travel from Maidstone to Strood were halted and replacement bus services put in place after the small fire near Maidstone Barracks railway station at around 4pm today.
Free buses were put on between Maidstone and Tonbridge, Maidstone and Snodland and Strood and Paddock Wood.
Following the fire, South Eastern has announced trains will now be running at a reduced speed across the affected track.
