School girl, 11, hit by car

AN 11-YEAR-old girl was taken to hospital with cuts and bruises after she was in collision with a car in Maidstone this morning.
Traffic had to be diverted around the accident, which happened at the bottom of Square Hill Road, close to the junction of River Bank Close, at around 8.20am.
The girl is thought to have been walking to school at the time. She was taken to Maidstone Hospital with minor injuries.
The road was clear of traffic by 8.55am.
