Police have announced that they are no longer looking for 81-year-old Gloria Stringer who went missing from her home village in January, after the discovery of a body.
Mrs Stringer had last been seen near her house in Hospital Road, Hollingbourne, at around 10.30pm on January 1.
Her disappearance sparked a huge search involving both Kent Police and Kent Search and Rescue.
Police confirmed today that they had found Mrs Stringer's body in the Willington Street area yesterday at 11.55am.
They are treating her death as unexplained but not suspicious.
Her family have been informed.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
